I've posted to my blog what my lovely angel made for me, and (finally) what I made for my swap partner.
Thanks for a lovely swap!

Helen thanks so much for the swap, it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed looking at everyone blogs. I guess I missed a few words but I came up with this saying:

An Angel to provide friendship and love from above.

I think something happened to my angel. She sent me my first gift and I haven't heard a thing from her since. Even her blogging has stopped. I sure hope she is okay.

Ale

Hi Helen,
Thanks for organising this wonderful swap. I have had fun stitching the projects. I posted to my secret angel in America last week and she is excited to find out what surprises I've sent her.
I haven't heard anything from my angel at all. (I do hope I haven't missed out :(
Cheers,
Sandi xx

I have gone thrugh all your clues, and it's not easy the correct answer. I'll give it a try, because I love crossword puzzles.

Could it be:
angels are miracles sent from above to provide us with friendship laughter and love

This has been so fun and I am so happy I said yes to be a part of this when you asked me. I have got so many lovely comments on my project.
But I still wait for my stitcher angel to give a sign :) And I am so curious.

Hi Helen!
I am a long time fan of your designs, but only recently got up the courage to have a go at your Santa Sack!
It's finally finished, with photos on my blog. I'm thinking I'll go soft and let the family have it full of lollies at Christmas. ;-)

Carla Finley

Helen, I forgot to say thank you very much and all the designers.

I'm so happy it turned out for most. I got an email the first day or two then nothing. On the other hand, I sent my angel her goodies a couple of weeks ago and she was thrilled. You can see what I sent here: http://carlafinley.blogspot.com/

Thanks again for organizing such a fabby swap, Helen! My swap package arrived today and it's taunting me from the kitchen counter ... "Open me! Open me!"

I've made several new online Stitching friends as a result of the swap & I'm looking forward to next year.

Colourque (R) is a techique I developed and use on many of my projects. It is nothing scientific, anyone can do it, it is meant to be fun and easy to do... it is simply using coloured pencils on fabric to get an applique effect. 'Faux Applique' a comprehensive technique book on the method is due for release late November. Watch this space!
