firstly, good luck to all who purchased raffle tickets – Miss M will be drawing it tomorrow – get your fingers and toes crossed and think happy thoughts!
Rain all weekend again here in Tassie so we stayed indoors and got a lot of crafty things happening.
Friday afternoon I took the big girls into town to the launch of The Crafty Minx. We met the lovely Kelly Doust and watched how all the attending ladies (and men) turned her ‘found discarded fabrics and junk’ into treasures.
Saturday I spent most of the day cleaning the studio and finally unpacking from Melbourne and started on this
Can’t show you anymore but watch this space for details very soon…aren't the fabrics just to die for? I have quite a bit so I can see a year of these colours coming up.
Next was the kindy quilt! – yes I ‘volunteered’ to make a quilt with Miss Tillys’ class in term 1 and I still haven't gotten it finished! Next Monday (3rd last day of the kindy year) I have booked to go in and sew it up with their help – then will have one week to quilt it before they move onto big grade prep. I had a good helper!
then it was her turn! first a sewing lesson and her first block,
then some colourque practise while mum was doing some testing!
hope you managed lots of crafting and stitching over the weekend too!
hugs for today
Helen
