I have just finished my border and it was fun, I added a few little extras. Could you please let me know the size we need to trim to for this block. Should it be 10 1/2 or 11?

Jan Quigley

Loving the pattern but I'm a little confused too, I've printed out the pattern & it's about 10" (finished), using the measurements given it should be 11" finished but not 15". cheers, Jan

Lovely instalment of this project. Can't wait to start. I am really enjoying the sending and receiving.
Thanks again Helen.

I am a little confused. Are you sure we now have to trim to 15.5 inches? By my reckoning we only have an 11.5 in square ! I do love this whole project and I managed the hexagonals too so feeling very pleased with it. This weeks round will take a few more days of stitching than the first two but it will keep me occupied for longer. Can't wait to see the final round and what all my group have done with it.

I just today found this sew-along and I thank you SO heartily. One of my dear friends just started her fight with bilateral breast cancer and this will be a perfect gift for her. Now... to get it done!

Silvia

Thank you!! it's a very beautiful work! Have a nice week!

leeanne

just lovely! Looking forward to starting my next one, we are all having fun here in N.Z.

That is a really beautiful stitchery and border area.
I am so swamped this month, that I have no time for fun projects, maybe after the holidays.

Colourque (R) is a techique I developed and use on many of my projects. It is nothing scientific, anyone can do it, it is meant to be fun and easy to do... it is simply using coloured pencils on fabric to get an applique effect. 'Faux Applique' a comprehensive technique book on the method is due for release late November. Watch this space!
