I have been a little absent lately furiously getting ready for some busy times… The first is a trip to the Australian Quilt Convention in Melbourne this week. This is Australia’s largest quilting specific show and is accompanied by lots of classes with world reknowned quilters, great quilt displays and competitions and of course our best vendors.
I have been invited to demonstrate on two vendor booths
I will be demonstrating the Scallop and prairie point rulers on the Mallee Country Crafts stand and our iron on washaway hexies and appliqué paper for Patchwork by Sea.
I have a few last minute brand new patterns which I have worked hard on to have ready for you all.
Firstly the lovely little project we did at our recent Stitching day in Hobart. This little needle book uses the little half inch iron on hexies – so addictive, and features some simple but lovely embroidery. Inside there is a little felt pouch for your scissors and a spot for your needles and pins. You could also add extra pockets for other goodies. The pattern includes the iron on transfer for all of the embroidery plus enough of the precut hexies to make the project.
A new hexie club project is also a last minute addition!
This very simple but very useable zipper pouch is so cute and the kit includes the precut 1/2” hexies as well.
I have also finalised our next three Thought of the Month patterns (not yet on the website sorry) but here’s some peeks to tempt you to come by and say hi. Both stores will have kits (in different colourways) for our Thought of the months…
My bag is packed (all 35kg of it) – now just to fit some clothes in somewhere…
Please stop by and say hi, its been a few years since I have been so it will be so lovely to catch up with many old friends and meet many new ones..
hugs, back to packing for me
Helen
