What a lovely pillow, the colors are bright and cheery, perfect for poolside.

Cute cushion! Are you sure you want wet chlorinated swimsuit bottoms resting on such beautiful cushions?!!!

Toni Arnold

Preparing the pool for summer, sounds heavenly as it was 0 degrees here in Nebraska yesterday. I would find many patterns to make from the book.

Helen LeBrett

Gorgeous cushion, but I wouldn't be brave enough to put it outside for the kiddos to splash all over!! :-) I love your stitchery, and your name too! ;-) Hugs, from Helen in Healdsburg

Thanks for the offer to win. Your photo shoot in the garden with foxglove and roses is ideal.

Your cushions will look very inviting around the pool! I'm enjoying the photo of the cushion by your rose bush because my yard has a covering of snow.

Lisa Marie

Beautiful cushion! Even though it's not by the pool, the scenery still looks lovely to those of us who are being suddenly hit by cold, grey weather. Here in Kentucky we don't have snow (thank goodness) but it is unseasonably cold.

Love the giant cushion. Thanks for sharing!

Love the cushion - and thanks for the chance to win!

The Primrose Sands fabric is so versatile it looks wonderful in all your projects. The bean bag beans is a great idea love it. Well done Helen!!

Julie Beard

Hello Helen,
I love your cushion and the fact that it is stuffed bean bag beans, hey that would be somewhat water resistant. Actually it is the perfect selection for being around your pool, plus with bright and cheery colour selection of your fabric lines helps it stand out at the pool side so it would never get lost.

Thinking of your fabrics that reminds me I need to get some of your darker pink fabrics and some of your neutrals creams to very soon. So I will be contacting you in the next few weeks.
Happy quilting Helen. Regards Julie Beard

Lovely pillow, I want one like that!
The book looks fabulous!

Christine B.

Hello Helen! Just love your cushion!! It is pouring with rain here in UK today, so was lovely to ready about sitting round a pool.... cheered me up! This book looks beautiful! :) x

Colourque (R) is a techique I developed and use on many of my projects. It is nothing scientific, anyone can do it, it is meant to be fun and easy to do... it is simply using coloured pencils on fabric to get an applique effect. 'Faux Applique' a comprehensive technique book on the method is due for release late November. Watch this space!
