A free friendship project from Helen of Hugs ‘n Kisses
To take part you just have to find 3 friends willing to take part in your Friendship quilt. I will be posting each round fortnightly from Monday 18th October. The last round will be posted on Monday 29th November leaving one month to finish before Christmas. Now the quilt will only be small (about 20”) and each round will only take a couple of nights stitching leaving time to get it to the next friend on the list. It will have stitchery, piecing and maybe some hexagons!
a quick rundown on how it works -
You will stitch your first block – posted Monday 18th- then post your block to the next friend on the list. They will stitch the 2nd round (border) and pass it on and so forth…. You will get your original quilt back in the end. Now I will be providing the patterns BUT you and your friends can interpret or change them as you wish to personalise and suit the final recipient of the quilt.
so, for now – find 3 friends and email your list to me to register.. we will set up a flickr group also to share our progress.
Put the badge on your blog, link it back to here and spread the word – lets see how many friendship quilts we can make around the world then subscribe to the blog feed so you don't miss out on the instructions.
